Perspective
"I'm afraid I can't explain myself, sir. Because I'm not myself, you know."
— Alice, Alice in Wonderland, Lewis Caroll
"Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrariwise, what it is, it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?"
— Alice, Alice in Wonderland, Lewis Caroll
Perspective is our blog and it will be written in two voices; one of the primary caretaker Lisa and one of Elda’s very dear friend (an adopted daughter) who helps her everyday, Angela. We will also occassionaly have guest writers.
It is called perspective because we believe how life is seen and lived is very individual. There are no two people who pay attention to exactly the same thing in any given situation, our emotions are our own and reflect who we are and how we react.
We are here to write about our own personal experiences as caretakers in the hopes to build a community where people can find answers, hope, inspiration, guidance or just a place to feel safe.
We encourage anyone to participate and engage in conversations or feel free to contact us privately, especially if you have a subject you would like to see addressed.
