Elda is a Virgo, (therefore very fussy by nature) not only was her house clean but everything in order! If something is not in order it frustrates and bothers her to no end, even now if she notices it. Letting her participate, even if that means standing behind her for an hour while she sweeps the same area of the floor, is very important for her. Keeping the order of her home gives her tremendous pride, it was her whole life as a mother, wife, grandmother and woman and it was how she felt self-worth. These actions more importantly keep her in the present and connected to her environment, her home and the sense of value it always gave her.

Letting her clean also keeps her on her feet and moving and lets her feel like she accomplished something. This is so important not just for her physical health but for her mental health. Movement keeps our bodies and spirits healthy. It is not always easy and sometimes scary to let her go because she is not stable on her feet, but someone is always right behind her to catch her if she trips. The more independent she is the more secure she feels, and that self-worth is invaluable for her well-being.
