Happiness is an animal Elda

Happiness is an animal Elda was the sixth of a series of 16-page personalized booklets, able to be printed at home, designed for Elda so that she could smile, feel needed and be happy. The books are designed to be repetitive, simple and fun.

This booklet originally was for fun and created for the love for animals. However, we decided to change the theme to one of asking for help and/or guidance. As her disease progresses and Elda cannot clearly verbally express her needs it sometimes becomes frustrating and she gets angry or confused. She will call for help then when we try to tell her or show her what to do, she will send us away, only to call us back a few seconds later. Elda needs help, but she doesn’t necessarily want it, she is very independent in many ways.

This story brings our furry friends to the rescue. They ask Elda for help because they cannot do things on their own. They let her know they need her and that it is ok to need help or just direction to understand what to do. Everyone needs a hand once and awhile and helping someone is fun and not a burden.
